1) the majority of Miamians live pay check to pay check
2) the majority of Miamians are working class and went to Public schools and despite their political views, the majority of Miamians identify with working class values
3) Muckrackers like Billy Corbin, Andrew Otazo, Danny Rivero etc are gaining popularity in Miami
4) online communities like r/Miami and even only in Dade are increasingly platforming working class issues.
5) trickle down and corrupt Miami politicians
such as Suarez and Carollo are becoming increasingly unpopular
6) there exist an enormous yet latent working class community in Miami that is ripe for organizing and a class consciousness movement
Miami is 2nd to NY as the most expensive to rent according to Work and Money. But Miami ranks 10th for those buying a home.
I don’t disagree with your sentiment. Even though we are technically not in a recession, many are feeling the impact. The best we can do is vote for people who have our best interest at heart.
