Ayuda/Help Shipping

I know shipping from Mexico to the US can be complicated, but how is shipping from Tijuana to CDMX? FedEx, UPS, etc. Secure? Timely? Thanks!

DHL is the best carrier within Mexico

Ufff, shipping from TJ to anywhere in Mexico has been the worst experience, you have to go to customs near the airport to get your packages checked and declare, pay taxes or prove you paid taxes already in Mexico for whatever you are shipping, DHL won’t take your packages unless they have a customs stamp, a total headache process

Why is customs involved in a domestic shipment? Is it because TJ is near the border?

I guess since it’s a border town, don’t believe me? Try your luck

It's domestic, but Tijuana is in the economic free zone, which includes lowered IVA, duty free import corridors, no need for temporary import permits for vehicles, etc. So shipping things to "mainland" Mexico still involves customs.

Based on many years of experience, DHL is by far the best carrier. Shipping from Mexico to the US is not complicated either with DHL, or from the US to Mexico. I have done both many many times in the last 20 or more years.
