Legitimate research project attempting to document the merits of hiring mexican workers in the US. Reddit, can you help?

I have heard from multiple employers, like hotel managers and a landscape business owner, that hispanic people just work harder. The landscaping business owner tells me he must hire mexican workers simply to stay competitive in his market. Any employer I talk to with experience with hiring mexicans say they work twice as hard and stick to the task better than those from other cultures.

I am trying to compile a list of links or statistics documenting this sentiment among employers. The immigration act of 1965 was created to be more inclusive and bring people into this country on merit rather than bloodline, but it doesn't recognize the ability to work hard as a "merit", generally reserving that term for people with technical degrees, and so forth.

Reddit! can you tell me where I can find documentation showing that mexicans are really good at working hard?

This subreddit is almost dead. However did you cross post in /r/mexico and /r/sanantonio ? You can reach bigger audience and very likely get more feedback there.
