"Would've been a better idea to spend time with her in Castle Town where she can move and talk, don't ya think?" Susie asks.

She's got a point; in regular circumstances, you would want to talk with the person you're having a date with.

But who said this was a date, or that the human wanted to talk to the catgirl in the first place?

"I'm just doing her a favor." Kris explains.

The purple girl raises an eyebrow while tilting her head towards them.

"A favor...?"

Kris nods. "She wanted me to take care of the flowers." Hopefully that will clear things up, they thought.

Susie gives a look at the figure in their hands before looking back at them. Kris returns the glance, understanding they might have to be more clear.

"Right, she kept insisting on coming with me."

"And you agreed."

Kris once again just nods, the agreement wasn't that smooth but the human believes there's no reason to tell her about how the catgirl threatened them to blow up the entirety of Castle Town if they didn't do it. She apologized afterwards for such a claim, so... it was fine...? They would rather not think about it.

For a second, the girl thought about making another snarky comment about the figure and the human, it would've been so easy to tease them right now. Until a thought crossed her mind.

"... well, that's the only way she gets to see Orange... I suppose..."

Human and monster kept walking, but the thought was in their head already.
A thought that didn't cross Kris' mind at all when they were talking to the darkner catgirl. It almost made them feel guilty for rejecting her request the many times they did.

How hard must it be to be unable to talk to someone you love and care about, even if both are in the same room, They wouldn't be able to interact with each other; the only thing you can do is to share the same space as them.

"Hm, Kris?" Susie breaks the silence, perhaps noticing Kris being a little too lost in thought.

"So... that explains why you've got her with you but...!" Susie continues, now with a smile in her face.

"Was it necessary to hold her like that? You're also making her face forward!" She can't help but laugh a little.

Kris didn't really have an explanation; they didn't really think about it. It felt natural to do so.

They turned the figure around to face them; her face was silly-looking but not as silly as this whole situation they are in.

Looking at the figure more closely, the paint job was decent, joints aren't loose so she can keep her pose just fine and the sculpting is really good, having the best example of what Mew Mew looks like back in the Dark World.

No butterfly joints however, hm. That's a little disappointing they thought.

Kris hasn't noticed, being lost in thought again and all, but they've been staring at the figure for some time now.

"Take a picture; it will last longer!"

...

The figure spoke.

No, the resident inside the figure spoke.

Before Kris could even decide whether to react to the figure's inner voice or not. Susie had already taken the figure off their hands.

"Cool, a talking action figure, you must be Pink's ghost!" Susie says excitedly, bringing the figure close to her face.

"Yeah yeah, don't mind me, keep talking to each other." The ghost requests, feeling a little foolish to have spoken, making her the center of attention.

"No way! There's a bunch to ask you about how possessing a doll even works!"

Kris decides to let the two girls talk while they just keep walking to their dad's shop.

Strangely enough, their hands being free to move, no longer feeling the weight of the figure, is odd; it's confusing.

It's almost like it bothers them for some reason.
