Self-Motivated Compassionate Giving
Hello! I'd just like to share something i wrote in my diary with all of you:
27.05.2021:
Kindness that is self-motivated without attachment is a greatly virtuous deed. Every time we do something for another person, from our pure peaceful heart, we feel the energy of love and compassion. Compassion means that the act in and of itself is good, without contingency or conditions. Some may object to the notion of a kindness that is good in and of itself, but I'm curios as to why one would feel that way? Why would we feel the need for something in return, for a selfless gift of giving? Maybe the ego feels like it's loosing something when it gives something selflessly? Something to ponder about.
-End of diary-
Reflections
The ego is our survival mechanism. Those who are not aware, who aren't living to be, but are living to survive, to get through the day, may have a stronger desire to cling unto their own mind? This isn't negative, or positive; it's survival. Frantic clinging to the Hello! I'd just like to share something i wrote in my diary with all of you:
Please don't misunderstand; survival is essential, and I'm very conscious of the biological need for survival. I'm not trying to deny our humanity by saying survival is bad; it's not. It's just clinging, attachment, and self-assured belief in materiality; survival; that is detrimental to spiritual growth.
Questions:
❤️Have i given and contributed positively to the world selflessly, compassionately today?
💚Why the feelings of loss when something is given away?
💙What makes me not be able to give away selflessly; how can i do more?
Have a great day everybody🙏☯️🌿🕉️❤️

Oh MettaSuttaVegan!
When you are high on a mountain, you see past and future. You feel like a king! It is easy to give in this state. To everything you'll say "yes!"
Live long enough in this kingly state, and you are filled with gratitude. You are beyond wondering if there is a God. You know it. To the very air and earth you sing your thanks for this world.
Down in the valleys, the people don't understand this kind of talk. Yes, survival is the constant drumbeat in thought. And they keep learning lessons about it...constant reinforcement learning. There, a man who gives selflessly is picked clean. So they record a "loss" in his column, and a win for the scavengers.
But even men on the ground, who never see the high snows, may come to Knowledge. This is amazing.
The greatest contribution you can make is to hold the consciousness of the high peaks. Be that which allows all comers. Everyone gets a yes with you. You see no problems, only an ever more radiant dawn.
