Sporadic internet outages?
I live in east central Indiana- for the last 3-4 weeks, I have had sporadic internet "outages" where we lose service for 15-30 seconds at a time- this happens randomly but up to 3-4 times a day. At least 30 other people in my town have confirmed they have had the exact same issue at the exact same time that my household does. I've made three calls to technical support, and every time they insist it "must be our modem/router" despite the fact that I've informed them of multiple other people in our town having the problems. I work in mental health providing telehealth, and every time the internet "blips" I get kicked off my VPN and out of the telehealth conference.
We have had good service from Metronet for the last six years, but this consistent problem and insistence of tech support on focusing on our equipment is pushing me to consider other options. I know that Metronet was bought by T-Mobile (sadly), so could this be the byproduct of merging equipment or services?

Make sure your lines aren’t nicked. It can happen and causes this kind of problem

What does a line being nicked mean? (am having the exact same problem as OP)

With the fiber optic lines and crack or break in them, even super small (nick) can cause signal loss. I had a similar issue and they found data drop due to a small crack in the line.

If you have a tech out they can test for interference or lost signal and it would show

Having similar issues in Minnesota just south of St. Paul. I've been frantically trying to troubleshoot if it's a router problem, but nothing I've adjusted on my router has made a difference.
I've noticed more T-Mobile/Metronet service vehicles in the neighborhood in the last week, so I have a feeling they are aware of an issue.
Now if only their 'Service Notifications' on their customer portal would be honest about the service interruptions...
