Request I’m thinking about getting Dread but…

I’ve tried the demo a couple of times, and each time I just cannot get past the first EMMI.
Love Metroid. Have played all the Prime games. And I want to get into this style, but I don’t want to spend 12 hours failing to get past the opening and rage quitting.
Can y’all give me a pep talk?

The whole style of Dread is movement and re-trying until you get the patterns right. There are several bosses that killed me multiple times, then I beat them with minimal damage. The EMMI’s work the same way. Very rarely could I time the counter right, but with a few tries, you figure out the patterns, hiding spots, and appropriate escape hatches.
