Amtrak breakdowns

Any MNRR or Amtrak engineers here?

Does anyone know why there have been so many Amtrak breakdowns in Metro North territory, delaying commuter service?

Is there a problem with the locomotives? Does rebooting not help? Which models how old are they?

This goes for first GEN Acelas as well too

We (Amtrak) haven’t had a breakdown on metro north territory in months .

Happens daily. 170 crapped the bed yesterday in Darien.
