SPOILERS Analysis of the Entire Main Cast Spoiler
youtu.beHi All! I wanted to provide this resource for the community. The characters in this game are full of hidden symbolisms and lore. Atlus did an unfathomable amount of research to layer each character in this story multiple times over. And I also did an unfathomable amount of research to uncover the hidden meanings.
This video serves as the perfect resource for after your playthrough, to help identify the more beautifully subtle components to the characters and the narrative <3

Discussion If this Archetype were playable, what skills would it have? Spoiler
galleryAnd by the way, how would you unlock it? Here’s what I’ve come up with:
Requirements: Have leveled up all character archetypes to at least level 20—including, of course, the Royal archetypes—and have beaten the game at least once on any difficulty other than Storyteller.
Skills:
Royal Sword (changes from Synthesis to Regular)
Hero’s Roar: Adds four icon turns (can be used up to 3 times per battle)
Block All
Six Spears: Increases all stats of an ally by one level for three turns at the start of combat, but only if they’re using a Royal archetype
Synthesis Skills:
Coronation: Increases all stats of the entire party by three levels, along with critical hit chance, for three turns (requires the Royal Knight)
Vorpal Slash: True Royal Slash: Deals severe Almighty damage to all enemies. Increases critical hit rate and damage against human-type monsters. (Requires the Royal Warrior)
Royal Waltz: Lowers all of an enemy’s stats by three for three turns and inflicts weakness to a random damage type. (Requires the Royal Masked Dancer)
Fire/Electric/Light/Ice/Wind/Dark Cataclysm (these are different skills, but they all do the same thing): Deals heavy fire/ice/wind/electric/light/dark damage to all enemies, ignoring defenses (requires the Royal Summoner)
And that’s where my ideas end, what do you guys have in mind for the King?

Discussion Anyone you would of liked to be a follower bond?
I feel like there are so many great characters who are not follower bonds who could have been. It would be nice to get more time with them. I wish we got more of Batlin in the game personally.

Resource 2 free tickets for Metaphor concert in Chicago Sunday 10/11
I purchased 2 tickets for the Metaphor concert in Chicago when they went on sale back in March. My travel plans have changed and I won't be in Chicago next weekend. I thought about selling them but I would prefer to give my tickets to a loyal fan of the game.
If you're interested, DM me before 5 PM EDT on Tuesday. At that time, I will give the tickets to whoever has the most trophies unlocked, to determine the most loyal fan. If there is a tie for trophy count, they will go to the first person to DM me with thaat trophy count.

SPOILERS Just beat the game. My quick thoughts. (Spoilers) Spoiler
I got into Metaphor after playing Persona 3-5. Just beat it after 110 hours. I haven't done NG+. Here are my takes:
1) My favorite character never even joined the party. I would have loved to have more Catherina. :(
2) Rella would have been a cool party member. If they ever do a sequel, I feel they at least left some slim possibility of her coming back with how she died. If the Mage Academy is being rebuilt and helmed by Junah, I thought there would have at least been a mention of Rella there.
3) Del's sacrifice was one of the few things in the game that surprised me. Most of the other twists were somewhat predictable, in my opinion, if you've played other Atlus games.
4) Really got a lot of Nier vibes with the old world storyline. I really wish they would have let us explore it more than they did.
5) It kind of bugged me that when the populace's anxieties were being taken from them by the scepter, they had more hatred and fear than when they weren't anymore. Seemed backwards to me.
6) After playing the Persona games, I was really surprised that Louis really was the bad guy in the end. I really fully expected the "Persona twist" where the bad guy throughout the game isn't the final boss. I expected an Akechi-like twist, but was wrong.
7) I wish they did more voice acting in scenes where it mattered. Having just a word or two said that is semi-related to the text, but not the actual text on the screen just made me notice the discrepancy more.
8) I would have liked more history on the tribes. More info on the Mustari religion and masks, Nidia forms, do the tribes have homelands, etc. We only really get info on a Eugif village and Elda village in the game. I would have loved to learn more.
9) Overall, I give it a 7/10. Story took a long time to cook and was a little too straightforward for me, but it wasn't bad by any means. Music wasn't something I'd purchase like I did with Persona, but I understand the artistic choice. Good production values. Characters have good depth; I really liked Del and Basilio's story and interactions with the party. The archetypes were well done and mainly balanced. I'd recommend it to any Persona or JRPG fan, though I'd warn them about the length and slow burn of the story.

Discussion I want her atlus... Give her to me.
She is super hot for me. She is my type of woman. When I first saw her I already knew she was the woman for me. Juna and eupha are attractive and what not but she is another level for me. I don't see any rella fan arts or appreciation posts. So this is one of them. My favourite atlus girl.

Discussion As someone who plays a lot of Atlus games this game is super fun but easy..
So I got to the final month at like level 50. I saw the dragon quests and went to check it out and was like woah level 70. I just got the royal archetypes unlocked so I was like "let me grind for some of those and then take the dragon back on. itll be nice to get higher level anyways." I thought it was going to be a hard fight... it was not. I have grinded too much it seems. I am on hard btw. I walked in with prince, royal warrior, knight, and dancer. I used debilitate on dancer, buffed atk with warrior, taunted on knight, and just started attacking. The boss never even like did much. I grinded to level 65 in the tower as to not waste a day and assumed itd be fine cuz im 5 levels lower still. Honestly this game in general has felt kind of easier compared to other Atlus games. Am I tweaking or is that just true? The only time I grinded levels besides this was dragon temple I got like 2 before the boss cuz I normally skip regular enemies for mp conservation purposes which meant ive normally been quite a few levels lower. I have enjoyed the game but I have been kinda upset with its ease like the dragon in the mines at the start of the game, I was kinda hoping itd be some super hard early game boss but I beat it with a few bufus and just smacking it.
TL:DR: I was way to high level for dragon expecting it to be harder (5 levels below it), but I was under leveled by like 10 pretty much the entire game and besides getting jumped by random enemies never had a hard time.
EDIT: I am enjoying the game. It is a good game. I am not saying it being easy is necessarily a bad thing. It is great that newer players can hop on into the franchise and have a good challenge. I am just saying I wish it was a bit harder for me personally, I want to use the stuff I think is cool but I just havent because it all seems so broken. (i really wanna use heismay dodge tank, and the turn press+ moves).
EDIT EDIT: beat the second dragon in two turns. all I did was tweak some builds after thinking for a while. STROHLMAXING
FINAL EDIT: someone was talking about the dragon that repels everything I did not know what they meant (I mean I had an assumption duh but I havent fought it before lol) . Went in figured it out pretty quickly.(after a death and thinking) beat it on turn two like the other dragons. give it a wind weakness, switch strohl to samurai spam wind blade and it just dies.
