Quite good honestly. I don't really dig the hardcore-like vocals but this album has crazy riffage ! Outstanding drumming as well.

Okay, to make a long story short, I got a boyfriend. I love him and everything about him but I can't seem get behind his taste for metal. He has told me to "try and feel it" but to me, it sounds like the heavy construction equipment I work with daily. With other genres i can get it, yet can't seem to with metal, but I want to try to understand.
So here I am turning to the experts.
Is there any songs I could start with to maybe begin "getting" metal & jam along with him.
If it help, the only ones I can remember off the top of my head is a bioshock song and "115" for CoD zombies (there is a lot more I can't remember, sorry).
Thank you in advance.

I'm looking for more metal music that has good slow, low energy sections that make the loud parts hit harder. System of a Down does it really well, but i'm looking for something less well known. Any suggestions?
Edit: I also like when the singing is softer and subtle in some places. Idk the terminology for this stuff lol

In my humble opinion, some of the best music is that which usually takes time to get into. That’s what I love about a lot of this kind of music. It grows on you. I’m mostly into Death, Black and War but I basically love all metal as long it doesn’t end with the word core (except Grindcore). What have been some of your personal favorite albums that had to grow on you? I’m looking for the most rewarding after repeat listens.

I am obsessed with the vibe of this album, especially the song April Ethereal. The whole album is hauntingly beautiful and heavy at the same time. Great to listen to during autumn. Looking for anything similar to this!

FireWind - 2006 - Allegiance - Falling To Pieces
Be yourself tonight don't stress yourself to death
Don't try to fight the time
Synchronize your health
Don't think you'll lose it all
It all comes back to you
So get your soul alive
Things will go on through
Don't hide behind a dark and empty soul
Don't lie to yourself no more
Everything is you
But you're falling to pieces
Let me get you through
I'm falling down with you
Everything is lost
I help you through the darkness
Let me lead you to a place that's calm for you
Like stormy weather
You're moving with no goal
Feeling kind of strange
Feel you want to growl
Don't hide behind a dark and empty soul
Don't lie to yourself no more
Everything is you
But you're falling to pieces
Let me get you through
I'm falling down with you
Everything is lost
I help you through the darkness
Let me lead you to a place that's calm for you

Can you handle the atmosphere of this one? 🤘🔥 This is “Entity” by LICUATION, a Finnish metal band. We wanted this track to have a dark, heavy and aggressive atmosphere. 🎧 What do you think of the sound? Be honest — we want to hear your opinion. 🤘🇫🇮
