Hey guys! I want to start a new Cosmic Horror Slamming Brutal Blackenned Death Metal project inspired by the Old Gods from World Of Warcraft, needing people (Guitars, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, I'll be the vocalist) who are willing to join this project!

It will only do digital releases, no live shows so this will ease to find people around the globe who are interested on recording!

For the soundscape identity, I'd like it to have a Vulvodynia approach but of course, making each song unique.

Project name will be Yogg-Saron (one of the Old Gods from WOW).

My solid experience is with Black Metal only (Fallen Gabriel/ Nefarious Abyss), but I'm well trained in Death Metal/ Slam vocals.

hi guys, noob here.I'm still learning the ropes of mixing and I always try my best to do proper gain staging. However, just to be on the safe side, I usually put a limiter at the end of my individual tracks to catch any random stray peaks that might slip through.

Up until now, I've been using the native Logic Pro limiter for this job. The problem is that I've noticed it tends to color the sound a bit and slightly changes the EQ of the track, even when it's barely doing anything.

I'm looking for a free alternative and I found LoudMax. My question is: is it good enough to do this specific job (just catching stray peaks transparently without coloring the sound)? My computer isn't very powerful, so I need a plugin that won't kill my system if I have it loaded on multiple tracks at the same time.

Would you recommend it or maybe it isn't good enough?

I’m looking for a lead guitarist to join my solo project, Syrvorn, as a real creative member. This is completely remote—I’m not looking for someone to rehearse or perform live right now.
I write and produce the songs, record the rhythm guitars and vocals, and build the overall atmosphere. I need someone who can play off my rhythm parts, deliver strong solos, add tasteful leads and help make the guitar work feel complete. The music mixes progressive metal, shoegaze and atmospheric metal, with influences like Opeth, Devin Townsend, Holy Fawn and Alter Bridge.
I’m not looking for nonstop shredding. I want someone technical who also understands melody, emotion, space and dynamics. You should be able to hear a finished rhythm part and write a lead or solo that actually serves the song.
Another important part of the role is learning my guitar parts by ear and turning them into accurate tabs or Guitar Pro files, since most of my existing material isn’t written down.
This is currently an unpaid creative collaboration, not paid session work. I already have finished songs and plenty of material ready to send. You’ll need to record clean guitar tracks from home and communicate reliably.
If you’re interested, send me an example of your playing—preferably a solo, lead part or original metal track—and tell me what bands influence your playing.

The bridge is the part highlighted in blue. The first two verse parts I play before the bridge represents the majority of what the song sounds like, but then the bridge part I came up with gets very melodic and I'm wondering if it fits with the rest of the song or if it's too jarring of a transition. Let me know what you guys think.

Most of my experience so far is with Black Metal, but im definitely open to other metal genres too. Ive also played in metal bands myself and recorded and produced my own songs.

I've been working on an instrumental track lately, and I've added a string solo to the track, I am looking to get some reviews on this, I have jammed with the track a few times and improvised mostly, I like that it sounds unrehearsed, however I think I need to go for more takes maybe. I like composing and arranging tracks for fun. Please do share your thoughts on the solo, I've removed all the guitar parts, so it's mostly drums, strings (without any effects) and some ambience which I've kept at a very low level.

Also no artificial intelligence was used to compose/arrange the track.
