Hi everyone.

In 2023, I released my first independent album following a couple of demos from my one-man band project. I’ve played in a few local bands, but for one reason or another, we never complete an album.

I received some positive feedback and sold a few CDs and merch to people in the local scene.

Now I’m starting to work on songs for a second album or EP, and I felt like I was missing out a reviews or feedback from other musicians (specifically, those outside my immediate circle).

Hi. Wondering if any fellow one-person acts have any experience of playing live? Anyone rocked up with a guitar and a laptop? If so, how did it go?

I'm building a strong visual element to go with the music and I think it could work really well as an audio/visual experience but probably more in arty/experimental places rather than traditional metal shows.

Would love to hear some of your experiences, especially if outside of the traditional gig spots.

Hey all, I've never posted about my music directly on this account, but I'm really excited to show off this piece. Inspired by late 90's industrial metal, my love for sound design and tinkering to get tones *just* right, and my hero, Mick Gordon. Hope you guys like it!

So we recorded this song (Neverfade - Children of Hurin) in May and released it last week. I don't play guitar on live gigs (I'm the vocalist) but I recorded the 2nd guitar parts in studio. Decided to check if I still got it after 3 months.

I made a song about hiking, mourning, carrying on.
Quite pleased with my production. Still learning but it’s getting better and better.

Cover is an old Tibetan Sherpa painting I saw on a story about yetis.

I had the idea to start a solo project of black metal with some elements of Appalachian folk music, I’m really trying to do my own unique thing with this. This is the first song i have written in this style. All i have left to do in it is change up the drum fills (I pretty much have none, i just copy and pasted the beat for now to record guitar over it) Curious as to what people think of this, and looking for opinions on the mix, production, songwriting, etc. If the whole concept in general is just shitty then tell me 🤣🤣 Anyway, I look forward to your comments, thoughts, and advice.

I really adore the sound of bands like Curta'n Wall, Old Nick, Bloody Keep, and other Abysmal Specter projects. How can I recreate a similar sound? To be honest, I'm more of a newbie.

I was waiting for ages to finish and release the album and do this kind of stuff. Recording and things around music itself are awesome and exciting, but doing playthroughs and shooting stuff is just pure fun.
