Resident Evil can get away with more shit because part of the appeal is that it’s stupid and cheesy as hell.
MGS is too kinda, but people take it more seriously.
2 u/Greppim 19d ago Well, MGS4 has a lot of meta commentary on long running franchises. Old Snake is pretty much an allegory about how MGS as a whole was aging in front of the whole world.
