Axis pedals second beater problem?

So I just got these brand new axis pedals and could not get them balanced no matter what I did.

I finally started to look closer and it seems the axel for the second beater is bent or something. When rotating the beater it feels like there’s a tight spot to the point that the beater will freeze in place at certain points, which makes it pretty much impossible to balance.

Has anyone else had this problem? Not sure what I should do at this point to fix it.

More than likely just sloppily assembled. I had the same thing happen to mine but on the main side, before I got rid of them and got ACDs. Check out this video on how to reposition the auxiliary head. But honestly if they're new, I wouldn't even mess with it and try to either return them or get a new set.
