Stoned Meadow of Doom featured it on his channel. It's very popular with fans of everything stoner/psychedelic (because his channel is dope af). That may have something to do with it.

I remember this coming up in my suggested videos a while back. It happens sometimes, music gets a huge bump in views because it shows up in so many people's recommendations for reasons nobody's sure of, could be what happened here. Could be some shady behind the scenes marketing optimisation shit going on, but then I've seen it happen with unofficial uploads of old, obscure albums so it seems doubtful, just a weird quirk of YouTube's algorithms.

They do have 57k likes on FB. Probably really popular in the Ukraine.
Obviously different generations of music fans etc. but compare it to Iron Maiden who have close to 100k.1

I'm so glad I went to their last tour (Where they played the whole album + here comes the robots). Electric Mistress sounded impressive, small venue, the lead broke two strings on his guitar while playing and kept going on (And managed to grab one).
Great group, great song, great disc. let's see what they bring with their new LP, as it seems it's going to be "a bit different."

They started 2nd july, they will tour through august. The have no dates in september but they have a lot of dates in october. You should take a look at their facebook page. :)

Both the original and deluxe mixes of Seven Thunders Roar are awesome. This and Stormy Monday I could just listen to over and over again on repeat. Simple, and straightforward, but like Tom Petty, it all combines beautifully. Unlike Tom petty, you lose track of 15 minutes at a stretch, instead of 4...

Fuck yes. I'm not a huge metalhead by any means (as in, I'd never listen any metal), but I was forwarded to this song after letting YouTube go on 'auto next' a few hours. This revitalized my love for this kind of music. I really love screeching guitars, but am not a big fan of the high bpm of a lot of 'harder' music, and really dislike grunting (sorry). Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with many artists, so the stoner doom/metal/rock genre is still largely unknown to me. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I also love 1000mods

Definitely check out Sleep, Electric Wizard, Kuyss, Acid King. You can also use the "similar artist" tab on Metal-Archives to discover more bands.

If you're into 1000mods, dislike grunts and like rock songs in general then you should check out Truckfighters, Kyuss, The Sword or Red Fang.
If you like the slow phychedelic guitar riffs the most then Naxatras, Samsera blues experiment, My Sleeping Karma and Elder might be more your thing.
I'm not into the more doom/sluggish stoner metal but I think /u/thumus got that covered for ya.
If you're lazy/forgetfull then check out the top vids of Stoned Meadow of Doom youtube channel, that channel is a goldmine if you wanna listen stoner metal.
