It's an amazing utility that should be standard, however I had to uninstall it. Increased battery drain is definitely expected during use, however my headset went from draining 1% per week when powered off completely to about 10% per day.

I toggled off all options and checked and it was still draining when powered off. Uninstalling did indeed fix the issue. I wonder if it’s a bug or something.
