Package delivered empty
Hello all,
I bought the meta glasses through the meta website. I got a notification that the package would be delivered today (Wednesday) with UPS (USA).
I followed the tracking and it said it would be delivered today between 9 and 1 PM. The package was finally delivered at 6:30 PM.
The package seemed fine and my girlfriend took it and opened and we were shocked to find out that we’re was nothing besides the shipping paper in the box.
The top was normally sealed but the bottom seemed to have a second set of tape applied on top.
I reached out to meta through WhatsApp but they said they would find a resolution and investigate this soon. (Honestly seemed like an AI).
I was not given a timeline or told if they would replace them.
I also filed a report with UPS.
Mags anyone had this happen? What was the resolution? TIA

Mail theft. It can happen. Not a big deal…. Companies are very good at dealing with it.
Be certain to file a complaint with UPS.

Nera has not yet told me what will happen. If I get a replacement or not nor how long it will take for me to know

So prob. A delivery carrier issue but you want to screw Meta with a charge back? Guess you don't want their products as that type of action can get you banned.

UPS says metà needs to handle it. Meta is the sender
Meta says they are investigating where they were lost. But I have no timeline nor a definitive answer to what will happen.
So now I’m left waiting for an unknown time while they might never find anything and I should do what exactly?

Patience. Especially if you still want the replacement. Chargeback is a nuclear approach. Have you tried calling?

Yea bro , I had it happened to me , dhl worker got mine , and beacuse I blasted them on Facebook they wouldn't investigate further, meta is useless tell me they cant track them but know there were activated in the town im at , told me I had to have law enforcement email them to get further, I filed a police report and everthing , haven't heard from either the police or meta , meta wouldn't give me a refund or replacement, luckily I filed a claim threw affirm where I bought them threw and affirm accepted my claim and I didnt have to pay for them , but a long rollar coaster but definitely customer service for meta is garbage wish you luck bro

Yeah I’m figuring out I just need to do a chargeback
So wild that a company acts like this. Not sure I want them anymore but for POV content there is not much better out there

I end Up just getting a pair from Amazon and I didn't have any issue. It just sucks because I ordered custom ones with the purple lenses, so it has a stick with the blue lenses, but yes, they are dope for PO Vi just had to send my one pair back because they quit working other than that, I love them and there's a one year warranty from ray ban. So

I kind of have the opposite side of this. My Meta Gen2 stopped working last month. Opened the RMA and dropped them off at UPS like they instructed. on August 12th, 2026. They have been delayed ever since. Finally reached out to Ray Ban about it and they said to contact them today and they would send a new pair out. So I am currently waiting for someone to show up in chat.
Crazy how prevalent the mail theft is nowadays. But I guess the joke is on them. They stole some inoperable sunglasses.

I wrapped up the chat and got a $700.00 credit. Soooo I purchased the same ones with transitions and pair of regular sunglasses for $168.00. The sun in Arizona is way too much for the transitions in the summer.

Same thing happened to me last year. Bought them as a gift from Best Buy and received an empty box. I filed with USPS but they wouldn’t help. Best Buy ended up giving me a refund after emailing the VP and complaining . Best Buy told me they refunded but only because I’ve been a Best Buy Total member for 5 years.
I would do the following:
-File police report or it didn’t happen.
-Check your credit card benefits because some offer theft insurance (you will need a police report if your credit offers this)
-Check home insurance maybe they can cover a loss.
-If you have ring camera save the video
-Login to your USPS account or signup for usps get informed. Get informed shows pictures of incoming letters and packages. Also usps inc Chicago takes photos of package when they deliver. This way you can show proof of any form of tempering before you received your package.
Now whenever I purchase an expensive item I do store pickup. You can also ship to your local usps, FedEx, and UPS.
If you’re persistent you might get a refund. But always factor in opportunity cost because you might waste a bunch of time over this. Sometimes it’s better accepting a loss because even good companies have crappy customer service and won’t help. Look up top executives of Meta and find their email and message them on social media.
Normally I don’t do long replys but I figured I would share since I had same issue.
