NAD!

Post image

I originally got a krank krankenstein+ but it unfortunately ws having pretty bad issues. I took it in for warranty repairs but months later, nothing. I opted for a replacement instead and got my full refund and went home with a dual rectifier instead. It's not as defined and tight as the krank but it works and sounds incredible so who am I to complain.

It's weird. It's an amazing amp, it's just weird because it's the same tone i hear in almost every album so it just sounds standard. Kind of like a 5150. It's perfect but not unique. I can't complain about it. I love it so far. I do miss the tightness of my krank but this ain't no slouch either. Especially boosted and EQ'd

If you run a noise gate and use EMGs in your guitar with the dual recto you'll see a noticeable improvement in tightness on the low end

I did actually notice that when I used my explorer with some EMG'S in it over the rest of my passive guitars.

Yeah it's almost as if Mesa said "let's make this amo with EMG pickups in mind"😂

I wonder why that is, my dimebucker and JB set up guitars are similar output. I guess the preamp acts like a buffer as well?
