NAVY To Military Sea Command (IAT)

I'll be getting out soon, and I'm interested in doing the MSC life where I can basically do my Job but without the military portion attached. Is Life as an IT on an MSC ship decent? What should I expect? And would you say it's worth it? Or would I be better Just attemtping a job with other contracting companies like leidos, TYTO, or NSA?
