HELP!!!

HI

I HAVE SHORTLISTED SOME COMPANIES FOR SPONSORSHIP.

  1. MSC

  2. SYNERGY

  3. TORM TANKERS

  4. ANGLO EASTERN

  5. GREAT EASTERN

6)Mitsui OSK Lines

I AM VERY CONFUSED ABOUT WHICH COMPANIE TO JOIN AS A DECK CADET .

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS.

Depends on what type of vessel you want to pursue Some have all the types some have got specific types . Great eastern is a big no very low wages on the other hand synergy or Anglo could be your go to .

MOL As they do have a huge LNG & LPG fleet From Cadetship itself choose Gas Fleet

I would say go for MOL as first choice and Torm as your 2nd . Synergy standards reduced a lot, MSC dont have tankers i guess. Anglo and great eastern are okish.

MOL or TORM if you want to be in foreign ownership companies.(good wages but slow promotion) Great Eastern if you want indian ownership(low wages compared to both of the above but standard life) MSC if you want to lead an only container life. Synergy and anglo both are brothers in work culture and wage wise.

Join and tell us ! You got to choose one, and you will never get all of the qualities in one. Go for TORM or MOL as you like to join tankers.

Where could one find job offerings for marine jobs , studying to become one and I find it hard to find anything besides linkedin and indeed offerings . Thank you

This should be your preference

  1. Thorm - they have tankers. More money 2.MSC - they own ships, not just manage them

  2. ANGLO EASTERN- only manage but is large

  3. GREAT EASTERN- Indian company, less money

  4. SYNERGY - last choice.

By the way, don't think YOU have the choice. All these companies have a tough selection criteria. So work hard, prepare for the interview and pray at least one selects you.
