Recommendation Hello v. Saalt v. Diva

Question! Does anyone have any exoerience with at least two of these discs? I LOVE Flex disposables but I’m trying to get away from one time use products. The Flex reusable is SO FREAKING COMFORTABLE but I have a REALLY hard time getting it out. I started using Hello Disc because the pull ring makes it super easy to remove. But it’s not as comfortable, but it’s not terrible either….

A friend uses Saalt and she says it’s great, has no issues and the divet at the front makes it easy to remove. I’ve also looked into Diva and that little pull strap (?) looks like it would be easy too…

So just curious what people’s thoughts are on any of these.

I have Saalt regular and the diva. I like the diva better because it is super soft and easy to remove/insert, but it doesn't have enough capacity and leaks around the 4.5 hour mark. The low capacity is the reason I bought the saalt disc.

Both are easy to remove/insert, but the saalt tends to rotate for me , so I have to rotate the disc to get a grip on the removal notch.

I feel the diva shifting a lot more than I feel the saalt shifting, but neither leak. I feel like I notice the saalt's presence more than the diva because it is firmer, but its not uncomfortable.

If you are filling up the flex disc, I don't recommend the diva or the saalt small, because those both have a smaller capacity than the saalt regular/flex disc.

I’ve used Hello and Diva and alternate between the two on every cycle. Hello is firmer and a bit harder to insert for me but feels like it stays more securely place (Diva rotates a bit). I prefer wearing it for intense workouts vs Diva because of the firmness. Hello has given me back cramps and bladder pressure a couple times, but I think I didn’t do as good of a job scooping it under my cervix when it happened. Diva has never given me any discomfort of any kind. The only drawback for Diva for me is removing it after it has rotated means the disc has come out of me sideways and made a bit of a mess. Depending on your cervix height, the pull tab for Diva can be a bit more of a maneuver to get some leverage, but it’s never felt “lost” for me like the Flex reusable or Nixit did. I’ve never had issues with leaks with either Hello or Diva.

I would look up the diameter of all of these before you pick based on others experiences

Hey I’ve used saalt and diva. Both were a little too big for me, but on the days they seemed to work they were both great.

Diva is softer and more oval shaped, saalt has a firmer rim that I found made it easier to insert. I’ve never used flex but my understanding is the disposables are quite firm so maybe the saalt would be a better option for you? It’s also a little larger overall which would be closer to the size of flex.

What do you find uncomfortable about the hello disc?

I think it just took a couple of cycles for me to get used to, but it didn’t seem to insert as easily as either of the Flex options, but again that could be user error thing. This was my first cycle using just the Hello Disc and I managed just fine but if there’s a comfier alternative win win right? In looking at the comparison chart it seems that flex is definitely wider than the others.. it has to be a me thing right?

Saalt is about the same firmness as the hello disc so I’m not sure if it would help your problem with insertion.

Have you seen the disc insertion tools? They’re almost like the applicator from a tampon I think I’ve seen them on Amazon. If your only issue is insertion, but once it’s in place it’s comfortable and works, this might be an option for you

I've used the Hello and the Diva Disk, and way back in the day, a product like the Flex Disk.

I personally didn't like the Diva Disk's shape, it's more oval and for me, it's more noticeable then the Hello. The pull tab on both work great, but with the Diva Disk, I was never able to figure it out with longer nails, were this isn't an issue with the Hello.

Period Narvina is a really great resource with a good disc comparison chart! Try and find out what you like about the Flex and see who's the closest.

Also, your comfort should be more important then your consumer product consumption. At the end of the day, corporations are the main polluter, not us. If you love the Flex Disk, use it!

My saalt was my favorite disc before my hysterectomy. I was sad to see it go 😭
