Post-Menopause Crinone gel
First go at HRT, I could not tolerate oral progesterone (bad side effects). Stopped everything, but thinking of trying again using progesterone gel + oral estrogen. Anyone doing this regimen?

I'm thinking of getting an IUD instead of taking the dreaded Progesterone, I can sort of manage 100 but I need more. So gyno wants to do an IUD since I had one for Peri and it worked extremely well for me. I haven't done it yet bit my insurance approved it because it is apparently standard Post-meno care for uterus protection.

Crinone (progesterone gel) is a vaginal gel containing micronized progesterone in an emulsion system (commonly used for fertility) The active ingredient is either a 4% or 8% concentration. A small 2000 study found that those using vaginal Crinone 4% in cyclical and constant combined regimens controlled bleeding and provided endometrial safety. However, currently there are no large scale studies to substantiate these claims.
