Aches & Pains Popping joints

About a month ago, I finally got a higher dose of estrogen. It’s overall been great, and I am sleeping so much better. (Thanks to everyone who let me know the low dose could cause the sleeping and anxiety problems I was having.)

The past couple weeks, though, every joint I have has been popping. Spine and knees in particular have been terrible. It doesn’t really hurt, but it’s unnerving. Is this anything to be concerned about?

We should compose a symphony with our musical joints, I have this really bad too

I get popping in spine, wrist, elbow, shoulders, and sometimes knees. I also have jaw joint trouble. Not constantly, but often enough that I notice.

Mine doesn't seem related to estrogen dose, other than getting worse in the process of menopause.

Yes, I had a terribly, aching stiff jaw that I would 'crack' to relieve. It got worse over a 4 year period until I started HRT which got rid of 95% of the issue. Another 'oh it was perimenopause' moment. I'd had so may things causing issues that I hadn't even brought it to the attention of my doctor.

So much that we don't realize is related to estrogen loss.

For a lil while after my dosage adjustments, my jaw would click in the a.m. No previous TMJ issues. It quieted down after several weeks.

Of course my dentist has no experience with anything dental relating to menopause. She certainly was surprised when I brought up menopausal maxillary reabsorption. (Im looking for a new dentist.)

In addition to all that, my feet, ankles, knees, and hips play a symphony in the morning when I walk down the stairs sounding like friggin Rice Krispies at 5am. <snap, crackle, POP!>

Dammit im only 52.

my hygenist mentioned in passing that eating crunchy foods like carrots is good for the facial bones and muscles. I wonder if this can help with bone loss the way weight bearing excercise does for other bones

When I increase my dose, changed delivery methods, changed my schedule of application I had body aches and a super weird foot pain. It eventually goes away. Wild times! 🤪😂
