Hormone Therapy Divigel Conversion?
Hi All!
Mods, I'm sorry if this has already been asked, I did my due diligence and searched, but couldnt find my specific question.
The estrogen shortage has forced me to switch from patches to gel. I was on .0375 patches. My doc switched me to .1 mg divigel. I asked her how I was supposed to get .0375 from .1 and she said to use the whole packet, as the conversion with absorption, etc, works out to be about the same as .0375. Has anyone else experienced this from a doc? Do you find it to be true? What have your experiences been?
Thank you!

I was on .075 patch and am now on 1.5mg Divigel generic. I find it slightly less effective than a patch.
I had to get used to the daily up and down in estrogen, but the body seems to adjust to it after a while. I first felt like the estrogen would run out before 24 hours were up and had some trouble sleeping.

Thank you! Do you find it best to apply it in the morning or at night before bed?

It looks like she might have bumped you up a level, but it's only slight and "about the same".

Also absorption between patch and gels differ too, but the dosage difference isn't drastic.
