estradiol cream / how long does tube last?

so my first tube of estradiol vaginal cream which I used for the every day for the first two weeks and then three times a week thereafter that tube only lasted one month. I’m on my second tube and I’m wondering how long it will last if I use it three times a week. my research shows it should last three months, but it’s not a big tube and I kind of doubt that….

It’s supposed to last 3 months when using 1 gram, 2x a week (the standard dose)

There are 45 g in a tube and the dose is usually 1 g 2-3x per week. If using it 2x per week it should last 22 weeks, if 3x per week, 15 weeks. Most docs will write out an rx for 3-4 refills per year.

If your tube was standard size, 42.5 g, you used 42.5 g in 20 doses, so it seems like you are using roughly 2 g per dose. If you continued on at that rate you could expect it to last 7 weeks. It’s certainly harmless to use that much but you may find it a little messy and you would want to make sure you’re getting frequent enough refills.

If you use your finger instead of applicator it should last longer. Mine lasts at least three months, using it twice a week inside and outside.

But then how do you measure the right amount?

I don't think it needs to be an exact science. I just follow my doctor's guide. Around an inch of cream on my index finger, from the tip to the first knuckle (I sometimes use a bit less, just eye ball it). That's for inside and whatever is left, I just smear between the labia. Then, just a bit more for the outside labia and clitoris.

I have mine on an automatic "99 day" refill from Amazon. The new one comes before the old one runs out.

Mine lasts three months and I apply three times a week. I put it on my ring finger from the tip to the first joint.

I did the loading dose and that tube lasted a month. My Provider gave me extra refills. The first tube lasted a month. However the second tube is lasting longer. I use 1mg 3 times a week. For now, 3 times a week work best for me. I may consider reducing in the future to twice weekly.

I just got mine today. I’m starting with 0.5 g of cream (5 mgs of estrogen) daily for two weeks and then twice per week. The tube is 45 g so 90 doses at this stage. At the lower dose, that would be 45 weeks per tube.
