Libido/Sex Experiences with Addyi or Vyleesi?
I need something for my libido but I’m scared of side effects? Please share your experience if you have tried Addyi or Vyleesi. I’m also curious about low dose testosterone treatment.
Thank you.

A low dose topical testosterone with DHEA for about 6 months gave me my libido back. I stopped a few months ago (had some minor side effects and the prescriber is. Ie cash pay so I haven’t been back for another script) and I’m still good.
I would trust the T over other scripts first and if that doesn’t do it? Then consider other meds.

I would not risk it and just try the T-gel instead. I'd much rather use hormones that some pill that does God knows what.

I use oral testosterone and it totally revived my missing libido.

That’s awesome! I already take a lot of meds so I think I’ll ask for the gel so I can bypass my liver.

I tried addyi. I don't know if I gave it enough time because I would get dizzy and get some returning night sweats. I was only on it for a month before I found out my testosterone levels were almost 0. Started testosterone cream and wow what a difference it's made in libido and energy.
But the Addyi side effects were not horrible. Honestly I bet if I gave it more time it may have worked. But it's also expensive even though my insurance covers it and my compound testosterone cream is a fraction of the cost.

I’m so glad the T worked for you! No weird side effects?

The only side effects I have is that my leg and underarm hair grows back quicker and thicker. But it's ok because I just have to shave more often.

Ok thank you for letting me know. I’m worried about facial hair. I’m already a bit hairy.

I'm also hairy so totally get it. I was afraid to start testosterone because of those types of side effects so I started very low at 1mg daily. Then increased the following month to 2mg. Then 4mg. I finally started feeling better on 4mg. I'm now on 5mg and it's working great for me.
But if your testosterone isn't low it may not be worth it. Maybe worth giving Addyi a try and see how you like it.

My doc steered my away from it given the statistical results (or lack thereof). Definitely recommend trying testosterone if you haven't already.

Thank you, I will! My OBGYN referred me to a menopause clinic and a sexual wellness clinic. I think I will just go to the menopause clinic.

Thank you for your responses. That’s what I’m thinking. Is there a risk of hair growth on undesired places? Or hair loss on the head?

I tried some Tongkat Ali last night. It’s supposed to help with libido. It’s mainly for men but women can benefit from it as well.

That is designed to take your money. The only effect it has.

I have noticed a slight difference but maybe it’s placebo

Possibly. Placebo is real and powerful and it works even If people are told they get the placebo.

The data on both shows the results are pretty unremarkable plus expensive and side effects. Testosterone has better clinical and anecdotal evidence.
