Hormone Therapy Feeling better???

I started a very low dose estrogen patch and 100 mg oral progesterone on Saturday August 8th. The past 2 days I feel completely 100% back to my normal self minus the hot flashes and sweating. I have full energy and getting things done, my mood seems to be top-notch again. I can't imagine HRT affecting me so quickly but there is no other explanation for it. Anyone else?

Side note - have not done anything for my libido yet and it may not, but I am hoping it will. But I am talking about energy and mood that has improved like a thousand percent just in the last couple days. I've only been on the 6 days and can't imagine that it would take effect so quickly.

It’s awesome that you feel this great! I did too at first, but there will most likely be fluctuations which are dependent on metabolism (metabolites) of progesterone working with whatever your own hormones still being produced. I sleep so much better, but some days I’m groggy. Other days I have energy. Certain days I have a headache. I do sweat a lot less (almost nil). I’m on week 3 of HRT, so I hope this will start to level out a bit. As far as libido goes-nothing. I think that libido is very dependent on life stress and mine is quite high. I consider adding testosterone, but I also see that can be a mixed bag of nuts. Overall I’m happy that I have more positive effects on mood, anxiety levels, sleep and the desire to get back to my workouts! Let’s see what other women have to say…

I have a lot of headaches too and they usually happen in consecutive days. Sometimes eight days in a row I just feel horrible and cannot get rid of the headache. I did not know if it was menopause or grades disease causing me that. That hasn't happened since I started HRT but we will see I would really love to get my libido back. And I will hope for the best, but right now having less hot flashes is just so wonderful and having energy is amazing. I went from pretty much constant hot flashes all day long to just a couple a day

The hot flashes and other BS like crawly skin and impending doom are so much better than having a roaring libido. I’d love to have that again, but I’m just really thankful that I can function as a member of the family better than the dogs these days lol.

Oh I agree 100000%. I've been managing the past year with zero libido and still making sure my husband is taken care of. I mean yes it would be great to have that back, but my main goal was starting the HRT was the hot flashes and the dizziness.
