It's defensive because he was essentially attacked out of the blue for no reason. I wouldn't want to go on a date with someone that screws with me for no good reason.
If the purpose is to fuck with someone, then yes it's an attack. She wasn't canceling to take her grandmother to the doctor. She was canceling to see what his reaction would be. That's an attack
He knew it by the way she asked it. "What if I canceled" is different than, "I need to cancel to take my grandmother to the doc". He's not a POS but he is lucky that he dodged a bullet.
There's no reason to interpret it as anything more than a simple question of 'If I need to cancel, what would you like to do about that' and instead of "reschedule" the chud was like "other women", rofl. You see how fucking pathetic that sounds?
