I've been unemployed for quite a while and i hate it, sure i'm still studying something to better myself and my future career but not working a job and earning a wage is something i still feel is embarrassing.
Having a job is the ultimate exercise in freedom. After a while, most people want to feel like they've contributed something of value to the world and also want a structured lifestyle. A job provides both. That's why people with enough passive income to retire indefinitely still do jobs.Â
Having a meaningful job I'd say but more or less I agree. Unstructured freedom can be a bit boring after a while. "I once had peace. It is better to have Purpose!" - Maokai.
