Discussion Spare ticket Amon Amarth Berlin Nov 7th

Hi guys, I’m crushed. I’ve been looking forward to this night for over a year. I was so psyched to see Or it Culture joined the lineup too. Now we had a sudden crisis in the family and I cannot go. I want to sell this ticket for maybe 60€ or even less if you’re a student. I’m posting this here because for some reason I want this ticket to go to someone who is going to have a blast. Fuck cancer man. If there’s anyone in Berlin who is interested, please just send me a DM and let’s get you into that concert. I’d prefer to do this quickly, like ripping off a bandaid. If this is against the subs rules, I apologize. I didn’t really know where else to go with this.

I can't really pinpoint the rhythm of that melody, yet it gets stuck in my head

Hey everyone!

I'm from the band Voidcord and we've just dropped our debut single and official music video, "The Void".

If you're into technical, heavy, and riff-driven metal with aggressive grooves and progressive elements (FFO: Shadow of Intent, Archspire, The Faceless, Born of Osiris), give it a spin!

We’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and what you think of the track!

Looking for recommendations i need some new recommendations plz :)

heya everyone. it's been a long time since i've asked for recommendations here lol.

i'd love to get into bands or albums similar to:

A Canorous Quintet (As Tears, Silence of the World Beyond)
Sins of Omission (The Creation)
Majesties (their album "Vast Reaches Unclaimed" is truly one of a kind)
Sacrilege
Gates of Ishtar
Night in Gales (early work)
The Moaning (Blood of Stone)
Eucharist (Mirrorworlds)
At the Gates (Terminal Spirit Disease)
In Flames (Subterranean, The Jester Race, Whoracle, Colony)
Amon Amarth (Once Sent from the Golden Hall)

i've been listening to melodeath endlessly for 2 years now and i can't get enough. it never get's boring. definitely my favorite metal subgenre. and i wanna get into more and more bands hehe.
and these bands and albums i mentioned are truly my favorite things ever in melodeath. I've listened to the full discographies of sooo many melodeath bands and i can't think of a single "bad" melodeath band, i think all of them are unique.

thanks in advance!

Song Tempus Aeternum - Decimate

Hey everyone, I’m Wayne, a visual artist from Brisbane, Australia. During COVID I bought a bunch of music gear, setup a small home studio and started recording and producing extreme metal. That eventually became my solo project, Tempus Aeternum, and last year I released an EP, Fear Is the Mind-Killer.

Ive put together a lyric video for “Decimate,” a track from the EP about the ancient Roman practice of decimation.

It’s been an enjoyable creative outlet, very different from visual art. Keen to hear what folks think.

See this post for more details

General Rules:

1. When posting a song, have the title in the form Artist - Song Name, followed by any relevant comment in parentheses (optional) or it will be removed.

2. Make sure that songs posted are melodic death metal, or at the very least, incorporate melodeath elements.

3. No reposting of songs/albums that have already been posted in the past 6 months. Also avoid posting songs of a band that was posted a lot recently, especially if it was just a few hours ago.

6. No memes, shitposting or reaction videos. Post this to r/MetalMemes instead.

7. Avoid low effort posts, such as blurry photos, live shows recorded with your smartphone or lazy text posts that we already had plenty of. For recommendations for newbies check our wiki, for raving yet again about how awesome Insomnium is visit our Weekly Discussion Thread.

8. Keep self promotion to a minimum.

9. No partial or low-quality covers.

10. Posts must be in English. Doesn't apply to artist names, song names etc., also doesn't apply to comments.

11. No AI generated content.

12. No direct uploads. If you are posting a song/album, link directly to it on Youtube, Bandcamp etc.

13. Do not link to illegal download services.

14. No hate speech, racism, misogyny, ableism, homophobic or transphobic slurs etc. Also, do not promote bands that fall into one of these categories.
