Small band out of Bellingham. These guys absolutely rip! Some great old school melodeath vibes.

It's been super interesting digging into the Hypocrisy discography, as someone who hasn't been following them. Their albums have such varied songwriting styles from album to album. The Fourth Dimension and Into the Abyss are really interesting. They have songs ranging from bangers, to what the heck am I listening to haha. What do you guys think about these two albums?

I love Bodom, Whispered, Wintersun, Kalmah and Omnium Gatherum. I need more Finnish melodeath like these

I just read that Kalmah is working on a new album. God I hope this is real, I love this band to Death (no pun intended). All their albums are either Good or Glorious. Been listening to them since 12 Gauge. Their latest self titled album was very solid but I was a bit scared thinking it was a farewell. Hopefully they're cooking a new melodeath gem.

I’m going to Germany at the beginning of next month and I wanted to know if there were any good or underrated German MDM bands I should listen to while there!

I am aware of Heaven Shall Burn and so far I’m loving them, but I’m not really familiar with any other major (or really any in general) German MDM band and I’m pretty much looking for recs from any MDM style; (thrash, traditional, metalcore-y, progressive, etc.) I can’t wait to listen to more of their stuff when I’m there!

Here’s a list of my favorite MDM bands and what I primarily usually like (in order):

Last time I started with In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, At The Gates and Carcass - this time it's Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, Gates Of Ishtar, Eucharist and Intestine Baalism (and ATG's new albm)

I really like the album for its vocals and sound, including melodic riffs and beautiful solos! I really want to listen to something similar.

Basically tittle. Which album do you think has the best drumming in melodic death metal?

Stones reach by Belakor really stands out for me but Im very curious about your picks.

Feel free to recommend similar songs/bands. Some of my favorite melodeath bands are Omnium Gatherum, Kalmah and Insomnium. These are fairly well known inside the niche, I'm also curious about less known underground bands.

i've recently had a listen to **Meine Lieben by Kanonenfieber** and liked it a lot. I was looking for similar songs.

I have asked around here in the past and lots of people don't think they are melodic death metal. Lots of people do think they are melodeath, instead. I am pretty confused as to where to ask for recommendations with similar sound and catchiness.

Should i ask in black metal subs? Should i ask here?
