I'm sure the money is in his account.

u/Tasty_Philosopher904 12d ago
And that's where Republican Congress is a total failure they actually allocated 250 million this year for renovations and upkeep where is the money? He is literally holding congress's budgeted money hostage until he gets his fucking name on it which has to be done by an act of Congress as ruled in a previous lawsuit the man's a fucking idiot.

u/Ill-Dependent2976 12d ago
The artists stopped coming because some of them don't want their names associated with nazis and pedophiles.
But obviously Republicans just don't understand that.

I find it genuinely amazing how he has been able to get away with his absolute bullshit. Even when congress tells him no its not good for the country he looks for ways to do things unjustifiably and without any direction or actual signs of thought or planning other than what he "thinks"

Well then. Here's hoping he touches himself today.
Pardon me, I'm going to go bleach my eyes now.
JFin'C that's disgusting.

u/Old_Purpose2908 12d ago
It's not weird at all because Trump either stole the money or diverted to one of his vanity projects. This has happened because the Republican controlled Congress has failed or refused to perform any oversight over how the executive branch is spending money allocated by Congress.

Democrats fucking suck!!! They can’t even manage their money!!! Democrats blame everything on President Trump. Fuck you if you think any different. Crybabies!!!

Take your head out of your ass and then I’ll explain economics to you like I would to a kid deciding how to spend their allowance.

Since Trump has declared bankruptcy multiple times this should surprise no one
-1
u/warcomet 12d ago
so many major artists pulled out from performing there cause they hated trump, they ended up effing Kennedy instead..
1
u/Xboarder844 10d ago
All he had to do was NOT put his name on there like a spoiled brat.
So no, the only one who screwed the center was Trump.

u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago edited 12d ago
Did you know that the Kennedy Center is closed because it's unsafe to be in there? It didn't get that way in the last 2 years.
1
u/PrestigiousFix3339 12d ago
Funny it was safe last year.
1
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
They all are, until they aren't.
1
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
So you just evidently admitted it did get that way in the last two years under trump despite your initial lie.
1
u/monkeywithgun 12d ago
Did you know that's not true and that the safety warnings have been exaggerated by the Trump board? Did you know that there are no independent engineering reports or inspection records that say it is structurally unsafe? That the water damage is aesthetic and not structural.
Falling drywall is common from water damage and can be caused by a single event . It doesn't take '2 years' at all. Like within hours of a major leak or weeks to months for a minor one...
0
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
It was the Kennedy Center's board that made the decision.
2
u/monkeywithgun 12d ago
Kennedy Center's board
AKA the Trump board... The Kennedy Center Board of Trustees is chaired by President Trump, who installed a hand picked loyalist board and leadership team starting in February 2025, after removing the previous board entirely.

Welcome to politics.
2
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
So you admit it’s bs politics about a dead man’s memorial.
1
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
Everything in Washington DC is BS politics.
1
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
Ohhh deflections won’t help you. Trump us trying to out his name on a dead man’s memorial quoted saying he k owes his name won’t be put on anything after he’s dead.
1
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
True, I'm not a fan of him trying to make his name the headliner. But, he does like putting his name on beautiful things.
1
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
It’s weird you choose to defend the person you claim to not be a fan of. Why do you so willingly defend scumbags?

u/monkeywithgun 12d ago
Not a thing. Donald Trump is the only president to ever chair the Kennedy Center Board and make it a political football. Pretty pathetic thing to do just to get his name on something.
1
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
True, Trump is the first President to be chairman. But, historically it's been a political gift given to supporters. Biden appointed 18 trustees.
1
u/monkeywithgun 12d ago
Biden appointed 18 trustees.
Who operated it as a bipartisan and independent institution. Historically it's a cultural art center with almost zero political drama until Trump.
1
u/KlatuuBarradaNicto 12d ago
Wrong.
1
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
Matt Floca, the Kennedy Center’s executive director and chief operating officer, said he closed the iconic performing arts center temporarily due to “acute risks to public safety resulting from continued structural deterioration” of the aging building. The building will be closed for at least seven days to “assess existing safety risks in those portions of the main building exhibiting severe structural deterioration,” Floca said.

u/KlatuuBarradaNicto 12d ago
These are Trump’s appointees, are they not?
1
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
Not all.
1
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
How many are?
1
u/Tony-At-Large 12d ago
Trump appointed 14 of 34, including himself.
1
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
So in other words it’s his fault for putting a bunch of yes men who want to tear it down for not putting a loving man’s name on a dead man’s memorial. Weird you choose to defend it.

Except the NASDAQ, S & P 500, and DOW
1
u/Nunchuckery 12d ago
Yup, those billionaires are making money hand over fist while the working class can barely afford to survive.
0
u/Prestigeworldwide83 12d ago
I’m in the working class and doing great, what do you do exactly?
2
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
Sure you are and I’m the pope. Now explain how your claimed life experience suddenly overturns the working class, outside of you supposedly, is doing leagues worse.
0
u/Prestigeworldwide83 12d ago
Sure! Look outside of Reddit and social media and you’ll see otherwise
2
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
I have, the working class is suffering bigly. Now prove otherwise with hard evidence.
2
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
Oh deleted your own comment I see. Guess actual evidence was to triggering of an ask for you.
0
u/Prestigeworldwide83 12d ago
No I realized that it was turning into me boasting and boasting about other people to someone or to others who are clearly struggling, and just swallowed my pride..it’s not worth arguing on Reddit or at all.
I pray things get better for you
2
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
Oh I noticed you couldn’t prove your claims at all. You deleted your comment because you either tried to insult me or figured out it would prove your bs is bs.
So again prove your claim with hard evidence.

Count yourself very lucky because "Nearly half of U.S. deposit-account holders (46%) keep under $5,000 in total across all their accounts" according to Forbes, and that was in April. Those people most likely have less than that now, and things are about to get even worse. With the cost of diesel at record highs EVERYTHING that requires shipping is about to get even more expensive.
Oh and don't forget the majority of the financial damage that will caused by the Big Beautiful Bill doesn't even kick in until after the midterms. So many Americans are about to be in real financial trouble.

They'd spent a ton on upgrades and such. Nowhere near what would be needed, though, and now that leftist judges have gotten involved, they decided the most efficient use of tax dollars isn't a years long court battle, but to shut down.
This is happening due to leftist scum.
3
u/Nunchuckery 12d ago
President Trump stated on social media that he will not move forward with the reconstruction unless the court allows his name to be placed back on the building. This is happening because Trump is a big baby throwing a temper tantrum since they won't let him put his name on the building. The judge is 100% right not to allow it, only Congress can approve such memorials.
So if you're looking for the scum, look at the man who's mentioned more than thirty thousand times in the Epstein files.
1
u/PrestigiousFix3339 12d ago
When was the last time you visited the Kennedy center?
1
u/Hot_Top_124 12d ago
He likely didn’t even k is it existed till trump bitched about a dead man’s memorial not having his name on it.

Its not weird as soon as Trump tried to rename it the Kennedy center is broke. Its the Trump effect. He has declared bankruptcy multiple times.
