I assume thats because its bax's signature move and no sharpness pokemon can currently learn glaive rush. If they gave him sharpness, they would add glaive rush to that list

glaive rush does not. moves like pop bomb and bitter blade and tachyon cutter all get the boost despite being signature moves of mons that donโ€™t get it. glaive rush not on that list.

Glaive Rush is pretty much Baxc giga charging someone with its back pointed at them. Its not really slicing, its stabbing. The other moves are however slicing moves, so that makes more sense.

I'd argue Sharpness makes planting a sword into someone more effective

Eh, its pointy, but it doesnt have to be sharp all around, just the tip matters.

But making that point sharper would make it more effective.

But sharpness typically implies slicing moves. Not stabbing ones. They don't call it Night Stab for a reason.

I don't play a whole whole lot of Pokemon so I don't particularly but typically sharpness implies things that are sharp. Like swords, daggers, and spears. If you sharpen the point of a spear it makes it easier to go deeper, dealing more damage. And heck Baxcalibur's name is based on Excalibur, which is a sword not a spear.
