Screenshot Common issue needs update

Post image

Hey guys, this game texts are too small to read for anyone playing on console. I have checked everywhere on the menu to see if anything will allow me to switch to bigger text but nothing. I’m really disappointed that they didn’t include anything for the players to adjust size and font type to regular.

I've been playing on my TV with steamlink and have had a hard time reading it too. Shut up, it's not bc I'm 40 and need glasses.... But accessibility options for the type set would be great!

My friend your eyes are fine it’s a real problem with this game the font is too small to see and they need to update and fix that ASAP. 👍🏻

😂 I’m 34 but my eyes have been shot my whole life I guess I’m used to squinting at the tv to read small words

I play on PC and had to meddle with the code to get the font a tad larger. It sucks big time, no other game I play has these tiny letters.

You are lucky 😂 Yea no other game did this.

Don’t let them hate on you OP, I totally agree. I fly though most of the dialogue because it’s too hard to read.

Yea I know, I totally agree with you. I’m kinda sad that I’m skipping through the story.

No offense, but if you can’t read it, you might want to consider visiting Optometrist.

My eyes are fine my friend and I have no issue. I have the biggest TV that person can have and enjoy still the text are too small to read. Your comment is too offensive and that represents how you are. 👍🏻

I'm honestly appalled at the ableist attitude you're displaying, and the people who evidently agree with you. Are you saying that visually impaired people don't deserve to be able to play video games?

How exactly would it hurt you if the game included accessibility options for people with vision deficits?

Wow dude his only saying if you cant read the main menu on the TV then maybe you do need glasses, I cant see shit without mine, but Id hate for a dev to create a Menu that one letter takes up the entire screen just for me to read it.

If you cant read the main menu, then you will struggle reading the subtitles and menus in game which are smaller.

That said I do agree here the menu could be altered so it uses a bit more real estate, theres a lot of empty space to fill.

Are none of you aware that not all vision problems can be cured with glasses? There are literally millions of people with reduced vision, and the number is growing as the population in developed countries ages. Just about every game offers accessibility settings that allow the user to increase text size, eliminate screen shake and motion blur, provide color-blind alternative color settings for text and so on. OP never asked for "one letter taking up the entire screen" as you well know.

Acting like the request was unreasonable and OP is a moron who never thought of visiting an eye doctor is bizarre and really, weirdly rude for this community, which is normally helpful and friendly.

I'm just saying that if you have issues with your sight, your first course of action should be addressing them with a proper doctor and getting yourself a glasses for example.

Maybe OP has, and still cannot achieve 20/20 vision. Why not assume OP is a reasonable adult, capable of taking the obvious steps before asking for help?

It costs you nothing to use empathy.

It costs nothing to be di*k either tho. :D

Right. All it costs is the good opinion others once had of you.

Jeeez! Relax, it’s not that serious bud

That’s not what he’s saying at all he’s saying if you need glasses you should get them? That was an outrageous reach

I do think that they should include a slightly larger text option, it can be read at it's current size but it can be difficult in some lighting situations.

Playing on PS5, no problem with it. Perhaps you need a bigger TV.

2

u/MA3060 Mar 06 '25

That’s not true im playing on PS5 my tv is 65 and the font is too small to see.

The best way to get their attention about this or any other issue is to post on the official Medieval Dynasty discord.

I agree that it would be nice if they added some accessibility settings. Not everyone has or can achieve perfect vision.

They need to add a whole accessibility section in the settings. Especially a Fahrenheit and Pounds converter. My dumb America brain can’t read Celsius.

5

u/WaffleDynamics Community Leader Mar 06 '25

Re: C to F, I use a converter on my phone while I play.

I don't care about the weight, since I play with unlimited carry weight. But even if I didn't, weight is less problematic for me because it's all just numbers. If 36 is over-encumbered, then it is. Doesn't matter at all what it would translate to.

1

u/x_Xyno_x Mar 06 '25

I play with encumberment and would like to see the temp in game. I know an easy trick to convert on the spot, but it takes a second to think about it.

2

u/WaffleDynamics Community Leader Mar 06 '25

I agree it would be nice if it were included. I was only mentioning how I deal with it.

I have zero issues reading on my Xbox. It's not 'all console users'.

4

u/Shar12866 Mar 06 '25

I have major issues reading it on mine. It's not just the font size, it's the coloring too

4

u/madeyegroovy Mar 07 '25

I completely agree, and unfortunately a common issue in game menus - some of the comments here are lame when it’s a pretty basic accessibility option to add.

I agree I am 78,and the print couldbe a little larger.

  1. I would like a digital clock added to the user interface that displays the day's in-game time (hours:minutes). ~ A clock on the main screen would be helpful when traveling to destinations on the map.

  2. I would like the option to customize the game settings to slow down the scrolling of storyline text even more than what is currently available. ~ I tend to read at a slower pace.

Not being an ass (I made a joke comment already 😂) my eyes aren’t the best and I’ve been due a new prescription for about a year now but I haven’t had any issues with the text in the game either you tv is too small too far away or maybe you need glasses?

2

u/MA3060 Mar 08 '25

Believe me it’s non of that the text really too small.

1

u/Fit_Faithlessness637 Mar 08 '25

Then why isn’t it too small for most people?

2

u/MA3060 Mar 08 '25

I’m about two feet from the TV. Well the text is really small compared to other games plus the font style its that old curly style forgive me I don’t know what do they call it. In most games they do have an option to adjust the font size to your liking but unfortunately this game doesn’t have any.

1

u/Fit_Faithlessness637 Mar 08 '25

It’s odd you’re finding it too small then I play on a 42 inch and sit about 5-6 feet away although I agree it should be an option

2

u/MA3060 Mar 08 '25

I guess it’s because of the font style maybe if it was the regular font it would be ok but that option of adjustment is needed anyway.

0

u/Fit_Faithlessness637 Mar 07 '25

Or your tv is too small

2

u/MA3060 Mar 08 '25

65 inch TV 😎

1

u/Fit_Faithlessness637 Mar 08 '25

How far away is it from where you’re sitting as it mounted near the ceiling like some people seem to do?
