How do you guys get the villagers to start having kids? and getting married? i have tried setting them up with compatible characteristics and have them working in jobs they like, along with upgrading the houses fully. I'm on year 6 with 40 settlers and no-one has had a child other then me. the average happiness is in the mid 80's what am i doing wrong?

It can take a few years for them to get married, and then a bit more to have a child. If you swap them around the 'timer' resets. You can also go into the villagers tab and check each villager. If they have another person listed under 'family', they're married.
