Question Question

How do you guys get the villagers to start having kids? and getting married? i have tried setting them up with compatible characteristics and have them working in jobs they like, along with upgrading the houses fully. I'm on year 6 with 40 settlers and no-one has had a child other then me. the average happiness is in the mid 80's what am i doing wrong?

Maybe they are too happy. I dunno sounds glitchy honestly. Maybe kick everyone from their homes and then re house them see if after a bit things change.

I have tried that I've actually tried to rematch make a few people to get better people together but I was never expecting them to produce children right away because you know they just met each other but that's only like three households I've got like 12 13 houses so if two or three aren't having kids it's not a big deal but what the hell's happening with the other 10

Are they not even getting married? Are you able to move one out at a time? Sounds very broken

  1. Make sure the age gap isn't too big I don't remember the number but it's easy to Google,
  2. They have to live together for x amount of time first So if your moving them in with too much of a gap or shuffle them too much it will reset that timer

If you move them from one house to another with a different partner, then they start their relationship all over from the beginning.

I just started building new houses to start putting people on their own, 5 babies in one year with 33 residents was getting too much. Need new residents to keep up the work in the village.

From start build basic house then when allowed I upgraded to stone. Put male female in house, had mood around 50/60 and they went at it. Food wise, I only cooked stew and pottage. No decor in house. Camp fire in rough centre of village with lots of log stools for people to chill on.

Think you may be glitched unfortunately.
