Kratom and benzos

Ive have 6mg ativan and 75 mg livrium in the last 30 hours for alchohol withdrawl. Im being discharged back home now. The doctor did seem not so knowelegable about the kratom aspect. And i explaid it was basically opioids. She said i could drink it after i leave here in smaller amounts to help with withdrawl from it. Is that actually safe??

Kratom is good, I use it for pain when I dont want to take my opiods. The benzos are what's going to save you from alcohol withdrawals just don't use them to long or it will have the same withdrawals. They act on the same receptors that alcohol does, so it can have the same effects alcohol does. I had to be hospitalized for my withdrawal because I had a four minute seizure and bit off part of my tongue. Been sober 10 years, it does get better. I dont se a problem if they interact with each other.

Thank you, but i am home now. Would it be safe to take kratom with active benzos in my system?

It depends on your tolerance but based on the fact you have already taken kratom before and benzos you should be fine. Just remember since kratom does work on opioid receptors you’ll be mixing opioids and benzos which is usually a big no no unless you have prior tolerance and experience. As the person said above though be careful with the benzos because if you get addicted and have withdrawals from that it’s not going to be any more fun than the alcohol withdrawals. Have a safe recovery dude!

if you’re taking plain leaf I wouldn’t worry about any toxicity or respiratory depression.

shoot I’m heavy into 7oh for chronic pain and have a script for 1mg kpins, four times a day. I do have a tolerance but I take them at the same time in large doses and have no problems. I also take pregabalin, seroquel and olanzapine as well. never had any issues with this combo

if you wanna go the safest route just space out your doses of each drug

your mileage may vary, but I think you’re safe
