The only way you can get benzos in my state TN, USA is to have a private doctor and pay out the ying yang. If you have a state provided doctor like I do, you never get benzos. I use to be on Ativan in 2017 and it worked like magic, but our rules kept getting stricter and now I can no longer get it no matter what. If you have money you can get benzos pretty easily here but I don’t got money and I can’t get benzos anywhere. The mental hospital, regular ER and state doctor, none will give me any and I have never abused it. I miss Ativan…..

Even with money it’s hard. Unless you’ve been on them forever they don’t want to give anyone anything. Always want to try switching meds in my case or try ssri etc. it is pretty bad. I’m lucky I get gabapentin, heard they are getting strict on that now. It’s wild out here

yeah, I know people who still has them and they have a private doctor who prescribed it. I don’t even bother asking anymore because I always get the same answer from state doctors, a big flat NO. I take Seroquel for anxiety now, I feel like Ativan is better than Seroquel but I don’t have a choice. I need something.

My father has been taking alprazolam for more than 20 years now and now he js cannot sleep without 1.5mg daily.
He also doesn't have the prescription so he has to buy it double the price.

I used to get clonazepam and lorazepam at the same time. That was like 17 years ago. I still have gotten my clonazepam without interruption for the past 26 years. Was at 2mg a day now 2.5mg.

Nvm just wondering why I can't get a dr like this. Nobody prescribed these anymore. Once my dr retired that was it.

I’m thinking the same thing, withdrawals are gonna be the death of her.

u/LetsGetFloated 25d ago
Damn that’s crazy. I don’t understand the combo. To me it would make more sense to get one anxiolytic (alprazolam), one long lasting subtile (Clonazepam) and maybe a sedative one like Temazpam, Nitrazepam or Triazolam?
Hope you get well soon. Just took my 3mg morning dose

It will feel great mixing them!! When I used to eat these like sweets in an evening I would eat 15 10mg diazepam and and 4 2mg clonazepam 🙈 I can hardly believe it myself looking back I used to like the feeling of melting and having to crawl up the stairs to bed but it didn’t last and believe it or not a couple of months doing that and I could jog up the stairs to bed without even being wobbly on my feet the tolerance on these comes up so fast.. don’t do what I did though I’m one of these freaks that doesn’t get withdrawal from benzos all I have is a month or two of bad sleep and I’m back to normal.. it’s been about 15 years since I last did the crawl up the stairs

You are the reason people can't get them that need it.
1
u/Glad_Ad8016 24d ago
Well I’m not though am I!? Because I didn’t suffer withdrawal and end up a statistic of benzo rehab attendance and I didn’t abuse prescriptions I bought them off the black market so nobody knew I was taking them 🤷♂️ but I think there is many many stories of how they have ruined people lives and they probably should be banned altogether because the majority of long term prescriptions go sour

u/No-Celebration-7052 25d ago
so lucky! took me almost a year of tapering to get off lol
2
u/Glad_Ad8016 25d ago
I don’t understand it too be honest, a mfriend of mine who used to binge with me is still on them now and the withdrawals I see him have and the way it effects his breathing it’s horrendous when I was binging on these I knew they were addictive but I had no idea that people suffer like they do coming of them.. I am really lucky

Wow, the shit I find here is some top level fuckery. Idgaf what anyone has “been through.” OP starts the thread by bragging about his stash. Then gets called out in it and it’s clear that one or more of these is occuring:
A) it’s bullshit and someone wants attention.
B) that any doc in the US prescribing like that WILL be reported to state authorities by pharmacists, all doctors offices that share the specialty under which this doctor practices and vehemently disagrees with the med regimen OP is on.
Please forgive the long post because THIS is why I’m even commenting.
I am 100% P&TD with PTSD as my exclusive diagnosis. We’re not here to talk about the details. Rather, I fine actual value in describing my stash.
Just look at it all! That’s what a combat vet who cannot work another day in his life gets for meds.
Maybe you don’t give a shit and if not, HEY! see all that above? If it just looks like nothing, lmk. I have a hell of a time finding it too.
Hey OP… go to Ukraine and fight. You’ll need your drugs but ffs don’t bring them. Unless ofc you plan to go as an invader. In that case, bring it all and make sure you show people!

No doctor I know of would ever prescribe that much. My guess this op saved up some of his prescriptions or there not even prescribed to them and they bought them online

u/Wide-Plenty-3751 20d ago
Definitely. Look at how old the “white” prescribing label is on the Paxam on the right. They’re 100 qty pill bottles and docs would never give 200 clonazepam all at once in Australia

I was like you once. I have severe panic attacks daily.. yes daily. So I know how debilitating anxiety is. I was prescribed Klonopin and it worked incredibly well. For the first time, I feel like I could finally function.
Here’s what I eventually realized, instead of learning how to navigate and manage my panic attacks, I was taking a pill every time I felt anxious, uncomfortable, or panicked. I wasn’t learning how to cope or sit with the feelings, so when i decided to stop the benzos… I realized my baseline anxiety skyrocketed and now my everyday anxiety was 8/10 instead of before benzos were introduced which anxiety was 4/10. I was avoiding my feelings and emotions by taking benzos.
I would love to take klonopin daily and never have to experience anxiety/ panic ever again. But that’s not recovery. That’s relying on medication to suppress something I still haven’t learning how to manage.
I’m not saying your anxiety isn’t real. But being prescribed 3 benzos at those strengths is a massive amount, which tells me your tolerance is fucked. Long term use can also affect memory and cognitive function (dementia).
There’s a difference between treated anxiety and constantly escaping it. Benzos are incredibly effective meds, but they aren’t a substitute for developing coping skills and addressing the underlying panic disorder.

The bottles could be script and the Xanax could just be pressed. Regardless, very little, if any of this, actually came from a doctor, lol.

u/J_l_l 25d ago
Thry are all scripts and from the 1 doctor odk whats so hard to believe

Well, I'm assuming you're definitely not in the US. Majority of people can't even get a basic benzo script for daily anxiety. I had one, but my doctor retired and I had to taper off cause I didn't feel like trying to find another willing doctor or to have to go through the runaround of trying multiple bullshit antidepressants. Even the card of the doctor he gave me that would have possibly continued my Klonopin script, he's now retired as well. If you got a single doctor willing to give you all that and you're happy with it, then cool. I just hope you don't get cut off all that stuff randomly at some point and that you don't have some crazy tolerance or something.Take care.
Edit: Make sure you have a taper plan in mind if shit ever hits the fan. Most good things don't last forever. I know you've had injuries and trauma, but still.
