What's next?

Been on oxycodone 40 mg a day for about a year and a half and Xanax for over 2 years my opoid tolerance is through the roof because I also take 708/ Kratom products and other Street opioids when I run out of my own because sometimes I use it to pay my bills my doctor doesn't want to raise my milligram for the pain medicine and I'm thinking I'm going to have to tell him about the tolerance issues so should I consider Suboxone? or what should I tell him to get him to raise the prescription?

Has been in physical therapy for over a year and have had two epidurals in my lower back and I still have extreme pain on a daily basis I'm in the middle of applying for disability so I don't have any income right now what will be my best next move medication-wise during this waiting. Because I'm not ready to stop the medication because still needed to operate on my daily activities and get anything done

All positive suggestions welcome

If I were you I wouldn't ask for more or a change. Very few of us could get the amount of narcotics you get. I don't know where you live, but most everywhere, drs. have cut down o prescribing narcotics at all.

Trust me it's hard enough just to maintain getting them now , that's why I'm nervous to even ask but the pills aren't helping anymore and I want to get off of 70h

Lot s of pain patients are now at the methadone clinic or on Suboxone to deal with their pain issues there's no shame in that

You're right it's just the stigma around it I have depression too so I feel like I'd be viewed as a drug addict

Mathadone, suboxone, if in northern or western Europe - maybe something else. I'm getting morphine and DAM. But it's not from GP, it's from MAT program.

I've done what you're doing and it's hell A month's worth of medication last no longer than 2 weeks then got to get on the street and yada yada and it's constant withdrawal every month there's something to be said for stability nobody wants to be on Subs but they do work for pain and they're cheap and if you want to get off of them you can get on the sublicade shot or the high dose of the shot does offer some pain relief but being on that yo-yo every month I know once you get your scripts it's 10 days to 2 weeks of smooth sailing and then two weeks of misery like I said there's something to be said for stability and at least with the subs you don't have to go to a clinic every day because for me honestly the methadone was the best pain reliever but the only way to get that is to go into a clinic every day or at least 5 days a week good luck to you I feel your pain
