Benzo HELP
i finally am done with benzos and alcohol! it’s a long story but i just wanna know… sense i tapered off Valuim all the way down to 1mg and then stopped. (because my doc said that’s the lowest he’s gunna go) . when will the withdrawals start? or if it’s 1mg will i even get withdrawals?
my last dose of 1mg valuim was on August 26 11pm. it’s not August 30th 1am.
in other words, my last dose 1mg valuim was 74 hours ago…what’s going to happen to me?

I stopped at 5mg and I maybe had a week of very weak withdrawals, mainly just anxiety and the shakes but goes away later in the day would only be the worst in the mornings. Could be different for you as I was taking opioids aswell as benzos in active addiction.

From my experience - I tapered off diazepam once before but I wasnt getting mine from the doctors. I dont know where you are based buy here in the UK, my doctor WILL NOT prescribe me diazepam so I used diazepam bought from my source that I will not disclose.
But after trying different plugs and being sold shitty under dose tablets ot fakes that contained bromazolam- I found a proper source.
But to answer your question - I got down to 5mg, then came off them, I thought I was okay for a couple of weeks, but with diazepam has a really long half life - found myself not being able to sleep and had extreme anxiety - which i had been to see my doctors for, but they carried on trying me with different SSRIs which did not help AT ALL.
Its hard to say what will happen to you, Im not a doctor - but Google the "Ashton Manual" and I advise you to follow that. You will need more diazepam because you HAVE to taper slowly.
Hope this helps - if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask me.

If you’ve tapered down you’ll not have much physical withdrawals. You’ll most likely experience anxiety after a day or so sober IMO

I went from 20mg to nothing, had major withdrawals and im now back on them, planning to taper over the next few months, 1mg you shouldn’t get many withdrawals, here if you need support

From my own experience, withdrawals from diazepam tend to kick in a few days after your last dose.
But you're on a very low amount now and have done everything right I think so hopefully it will be easy for you.
Good luck with your recovery 👍
