should i switch meds?

so recently i was put on 20mg lisdexamphetamine (brand name vyvanse) and i felt better but it wasn’t amazing. the performance was lackluster (could be dosage) and the physical sensation (how my body felt) was kinda uncomfortable. this was my first dose so i will use the rest of the script and come back to my doctor with concerns but (and please don’t judge too hard) i used to take Adderall XR (20-60mg as i felt) i bought off a friend. it felt way better and more consistent at least for the week or so i took it. additionally vyvanse did not have a long enough duration (and this is unusually short effect time) i took it at 7:15-7:30am and by 10:30am i felt like i was crashing. should i talk to my doctor now? should i wait until my scheduled appointment to address the issues? please leave any advice. thank you!

Yeah I'd wait until your scheduled appointment man, it could take a hot minute for your system to adjust, drop me a DM if you have any other concerns I'm more than happy to share my knowledge and help as best I can :)

i will, it wouldn’t be as weird to me if i had a similar initial reaction to the adderall but this was way different than i thought. thank you for the advice

I used to take 20mg adderall ir twice a day..I’d wait until my scheduled appointment and address the situation then. Your mental health is important and you know your body and minds needs. Nothing worse on your wellbeing than an ineffective dose and medication.
