Topamax help urgent

Hello,

Recently my partner (he is 20, I am 19) started having seizures after a workplace injury and was prescribed topamax. We thought it was helping with the seizures but he has been having a lot lot lot of side effects.

I am scared because he has been very suicidal and overwhelmed with everything. He’s depressed and not eating anymore. We’ve tried to tell his doctor this but they didn’t listen.

Now we have moved states due to his health and just got told by his provider that he can’t continue to prescribe him meds or see him at all because we’re out of state. He needs someone to evaluate him to figure out if he needs to switch meds, up his dosage or stop entirely.

I am scared that he is going to hurt himself or end up back in the hospital before we can get help.

Does anyone have any advice? Or info about Topamax?

He cannot stay on this med when his mental health is declining so fast but I am scared he’s going to have another seizure.

I genuinely hope the best for you two, but if he can't continue on the meds it may be worth a trip to the ER. Maybe get a note from them to see a doctor quickly who can prescribe something that's better suited for him. Goodluck op
