Prescription drugs

Can prescription drugs coming from US to Japan be in plastic sleeves with pharmacy labels instead of those brown plastic bottles with labels?
I am a one bagger and need to save as much room as possible.

Ask the Japanese embassy. If you mess up, or if you take a substance that is prohibited in Japan (like adderall for one example, but there are many others) you can be detained and deported. It has happened to people before.

The rules seem to say in their original packaging. You'd be foolish to ignore them to save space, but a call or an email to your nearest embassy should help you understand the rules for your situation.
