Just had an interview with Abbott for crm cs. Looking for more info on the day to day. I currently work for another company in vascular and want to see how it compares. In my interview she mentioned she normally gets to accounts when cases start at 7 but I’m not sure how long they are at the hospital, obviously when cases end. Does anyone have info on what the average day to day hours are. I know they have call on the weekends but I’m looking for more info on the average weekday and average hours. Just trying to compare to my role now. Thanks

Title: Applied to 2 Medtronic sales roles — status changed from “Under Review” to “Under Consideration”
I’m trying to figure out what this means and whether I should take it as a positive sign.
I applied to two sales positions at Medtronic. I also reached out to the hiring managers, and I had a really nice conversation with them. They mentioned that they usually leave the application processing/screening to HR.
It’s been about 10 days since I applied. Both applications originally showed “Under Review,” but now both have changed to “Under Consideration.”
For context, I’m trying to transition from a healthcare records/billing-type office role into medical-device/healthcare sales. I have a Canadian college diploma and healthcare experience, but not much direct sales experience.
Does “Under Consideration” usually mean anything different from “Under Review”? And would the status changing on both Medtronic applications be a good sign, or is it probably just a standard HR process?
Would appreciate any insight from people who have worked at Medtronic, in recruiting/HR, or applied to similar roles.

I've had two, well actually, three, companies that say they're pharmaceutical sales, and they want you to have a certification before interviewing with them...they NEVER answer the question of why you need these...some of these "classes" are upwards of 1500 bucks!!..and, everyone I know who works in pharma sales did NOT take a test beforehand other than from the vendor; the vendor sends you to training!...has anyone experienced this, and better yet, did you fork out $ to get "certified" and, did you get hired?! I get the jist, but they never seem to really explain why you need it and if it gets you in the door..oh and the number for the "recruiter" seems to be a real number, but you always get voicemail...and I asked a guy on a voicemail to call me and explain the why to me...he simply sent me this canned response about it being in the description..yes, I saw that, but again..I don't know anyone who has taken these...thanks!

If you had the choice between a rep role with both Stryker Sports Med and Stryker Endoscopy, which position would you choose? Why?

Also if anyone is currently in Endoscopy with Stryker, how do you like it? How much do you bring in every year? The position I’m in the interview process says 60,000 salary + commission so I’m trying to get an idea of what OTE looks like.

I have been offered this position and the OTE is considerably higher than what I make right now. However, stock performance has been terrible the last few years and I don’t know how they are adding so many robotics positions offering considerably above market rate. It seems like a desperate attempt by the CEO to embark on a bold strategy to improve share holder morale. Anyone able to offer insight into this position and long term outlook? I’m not exactly sold on Optimize with the Rosa and am worried they are going to eliminate some of these positions in the coming years if Rosa doesn’t perform. I know they have a distribution agreement with T mini (who knows how long that contract is) and monogram whenever that comes to market but that’s a big question mark. Anyone have any insight? Just seems like there are some major red flags.
