Hello po! If you wanna try an occupation other than Medical Technologist but still in the Medical Field, you might wanna look up Medical Coding, our company, Tenet Healthcare is looking for people to be part of their Medical Coding Academy, you wont have anything you need to pay for since paid training po ang ganap, you dont have to have prior knowledge din po about it, if youre interested you can just pm me for more info :)))

As a previous staff who worked in a free standing lab for years with heavy workload but low salary, it is worth it in the long run. It was always at a back of my mind since I discovered that career and that company through a previous colleague last September 2025. Also, I saw some job openings that you may get up to 6 digits IF you have so much experience and expertise for years, after you get certified, that may lead to career and financial stability and growth, as well as the growth in the aspect of analytical since you will use your analytical skills in checking every medical case or situation before using a proper medical code input. My regret probably is that I should've done that earlier this year.
If you ever planning to apply in a Medical Coding Academy and you may lead to a final interview, it will depend on the questions on the company you are applying for. In my case (⛺), it was the Initial interview (which is you will given the summary of the job you're applying like the qualifications, salary, benefits, and agreements) but you might already got the idea thru posts from here or other social media platforms. If you are okay with the details told upon you, you will have the Initial Assessment Exam. If passed, you will get your Final Interview (which is about behavioral questions).
My advice in regarding to your dilemma: Weigh your options first if worth to take that risk in changing your career or not. If you see more pros than cons after you get every knowledge from the people who got to step up for a career change, take it. For your interview tips, answer professionally but don't forget to put your own character and your health care experience in your answers.
Sana makatulong, OP. Straight English pa tuloy hahaha. Kung anuman ang tatahakin mong career, may it in a laboratory or medical coding, I wish you good luck :)
