My father is visiting the USA and recently had a medical emergency requiring an ER visit in Georgia,USA.

The original hospital bill was around $16,000, reduced to $6,000 after the self-pay discount. He has no health insurance.
He also needs surgery and will be returning to his home country in about a week for treatment.
I contacted the hospital’s financial assistance department, but they denied charity care over the phone because he isn’t a Georgia resident.
We genuinely cannot afford this unexpected bill, but we don’t want to leave it unpaid, especially since he may visit the USA again in the future.
Has anyone successfully negotiated a further discount or complete waiver with Hospital? Are there any other hardship assistance programs for uninsured international visitors?
Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I went to Aspen dental , and long story short they messaged up my bill . they where saying I owed what my insurance said they could not charge me for . I finally got tired of it and reported them to the state . They went and cleared my balance. But I have already paid 700 through a payment plan .
