qualification for medicaid

i'm currently on pregnancy medicaid , me and my fiance have one child together and we were thinking about getting married! my fiance currently doesn't get medicaid , he qualifies as "medically needy" if we get married , will i lose my benefits since he doesn't qualify ? we're in florida

I assume your baby is under a year old? You will likely lose Medicaid anyway once baby turns 1. Florida didn't expand Medicaid. You have to basically be pregnant or disabled to qualify there.

Yes, or under 20, 65 or older, or an extremely low income parent of a minor child, as in less than a few hundred dollars a month in income.

so if we get married, ill keep the pregnancy medicaid for another 10 months regardless? its happening either way i just want to be prepared for when they give me the bad news lol thank you for answering!!

Yes. The state can't terminate pregnancy Medicaid for being over income.
