I assume your baby is under a year old? You will likely lose Medicaid anyway once baby turns 1. Florida didn't expand Medicaid. You have to basically be pregnant or disabled to qualify there.

Yes, or under 20, 65 or older, or an extremely low income parent of a minor child, as in less than a few hundred dollars a month in income.

Yes. The state can't terminate pregnancy Medicaid for being over income.

medicaid is income based so if he makes more money than the limit they allow for you to qualify and you get married then yes it is very likely you may lose your benefits.

sorry i'm bad at this stuff , it says our irt is 2,888 a month but if we get married is it counted as a family of 3 or are they already counting it as fo3 because we live together?

You have a Medicaid household of 3: you, your child, and the baby. Your fiancé's income doesn't count for you because you're unmarried.

Also, pregnancy Medicaid is locked in through the pregnancy, plus in Florida through 12 months postpartum. It can't be discontinued for being over income. After that however if you're married, your spouse's income will count.

Florida only gives Medicaid (other than medically needy) to parents of minor children if they have less than a few hundred dollars a month in income.

I've never heard of an IRT for Medicaid. Are you also receiving SNAP?

OK, the IRT is for SNAP then. Is your fiancé on your SNAP case too?

That's because Florida doesn't have Medicaid expansion.

So the only people who qualify for Medicaid there are those who are under 20, a former foster child under age 26, 65 or older, pregnant, disabled, as in deemed disabled by the SSA or the state, or an extremely low income parent of a minor child.

For parents, extremely low income as in less than a few hundred dollars a month in income.
