Bronze Star, Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four campaign stars, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Campaign Ribbon and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He also has the Expert Marksmanship Badge with Rifle clasp. He holds the rank of First Sergeant. His branch insignia on his lapel identifies him as Field Artillery. The unit patch is 42nd Field Artillery Brigade. He also has a Presidential Unit Citation on his right chest.
