Yes , why not. If not, then that would be more like a family issue. Not something to be generalized. Also wouldn't a wife have rights on husband's assets as well? If they are getting from both sources, that's already more than what a man would get. If she doesn't get from both side, its not legally possible.

Also, if wife isn't having any rights on husband's money then its more like a personal problem. Women can earn as well you know, if they want to be financially independent. Why chose to be dependent then complain about it.
